Sarah Foster, MSN, APRN, FNP-C

  • Board Certified Nurse Practitioner

Mrs. Sarah Foster is a native of Lee’s Summit, Missouri and graduated from Lee’s Summit West High School. She completed pre-nursing studies at the University of Missouri – Columbia and obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Research College of Nursing at Rockhurst University, graduating with honors. During nursing school, she worked as a tutor and mentor for other nursing students and served as vice president of the student government association for her nursing class. She also worked in a pediatric urgent care as a care assistant and as a rehabilitation technician at St. Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City. Following graduation, she worked as a registered nurse in the Pediatric Emergency Department and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at Overland Park Regional Medical Center. She was a preceptor to new employees, a member on the peer interview panel, staffing committee and shared governance committee.

In pursuit of her Master of Science in Nursing degree from Research College of Nursing, Mrs. Foster spent time working as a clinical adjunct faculty member for accelerated nursing students, while working full time in the hospital. She received significant experience throughout her practicum rotations in different clinics in the Kansas City area. After graduating and successfully completing the national board certification exam with the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, she obtained her Family Nurse Practitioner certification.

Mrs. Foster began her nurse practitioner career in primary care at Encompass Medical Group where she attended to a wide array of patients’ needs. Though she enjoyed the pace and variety that primary care provided, she has always had the desire to concentrate in a specialized surgical field.  She found Facial Cosmetic, Reconstructive and Oral Surgery to be a great fit for her as an advanced practice provider.  She was delighted to join Drs. Lohr and Hollabaugh at Kansas City Facial & Oral Surgery in her hometown of Lee’s Summit.

Outside of work, Mrs. Foster spends most of her time with her husband Nathan and their families. Together, they are very active and spend a lot of time in the gym. They both enjoy the outdoors, whether it is attending local sporting events, spending summer weekends at the Lake of the Ozarks, scuba diving in the Caribbean, hiking and snowboarding in the Colorado Rockies or just trying to keep pace with their high-energy Australian Shepherds.

She is excited to work alongside Dr. Lohr and Dr. Hollabaugh, providing exceptional care to patients in the community that she will always call home.
